about
I wrote this song in 2019 about men and women being biologically different yet are in exactly the same position socially - in that both have to live (and hopefully learn) together on this planet.
Moreover, women are more than their social conditioning (80% consumers who seek safety) just as men are more than their social conditioning - providers of that safety.
lyrics
Verse 1
Goodbye Captain save the one
goodbye ego and hello sun
come in Mandy and Mary Jane
you can ease my self inflicted pain
Verse 2
Quicker the the flicker of a candle light
you can't help but join in the fight
I can't help but man-explain
but I think that we are........
Chorus
different but the same
we're so different in so many ways
different but the same
we're so different but it shouldn't make a difference
only if you let it
Vertse3
freedom or security
are the choices you're blind to see
consuming as you complain
