about
I wrote this song in 2018 inspired by the quote: 'a moment's reconciliation is worth a lifetime of friendship'. This line really resonated with me at the time as between 2015 and late 2017 I was harboring resentment. I wrote this song as part of a process of learning what certain patterns of learnt behavior no longer serve me and trying to change them - which helped reconcile with the resentment.
lyrics
Verse 1
You can't say anything
son you've got to raise your game
You don't feel anything
don't understand what you once craved
Verse 2
Has it always been like this I don't think so
Can we bridge the path to bliss? I sure hope so
could it be time fopr us tp reconcile?
I think to much time has slipped away
Bridge
Verse 3
We don't do anything
but criticize the ones who need you
we don't know anything
can't help but bite the hand that feeds you
Verse 4
Has it always been like this I don't think so
Can I have one final kiss before you go
I'll be here in a sea of sound on true land
I wish I could have take you with me
